In 1996 June in the New York City, a young boy with a blue baseball cap coming by the news stand when I was discussing the price of a pack of cigarette in New York City with Mr Robert De Niro, and the young boy told me that he was called Tom. Tom, you don’t know Tom? Oh, I just forgot at that moment, many things obsessed me. So, the boy lying on the grass in the picture of the movie Oblivion was Tom, just as 1996 he told me as a young boy with the same baseball blue cap. After I went to the local movie theater and watched the movie “Oblivion” Tom Cruise was starring, this was the first thing which was coming into my mind.

In the movie “Oblivion”, Jack Harper(Tom Cruise) was Tech 49 lived with Victoria(Andrea Riseborgough) at Sky Tower 49, Platform Tech 49. One day Jack Harper(Tom Cruise) was fighting with repairman Tech 52 who came to repair the crashed No. 166. Jack Harper Tech 49 tied Tech 52’s hands and was using Tech 52’s Bubble Ship helicopter coming back to Sky Tower 52. The two repairmen(Tom Cruise) fighting of Tech 49 with Tech 52, looked just like the World of Warcraft game level 75 Quest, Mystery of the Infinite, “My Future Self thinks shes a Holy Melee … looking whispers – and it turns out its a future me to help me in my quest. As the quest mobs came, and we protected the hourglass. … the item enhancement for a piece of gear I will probably replace in a few levels anyway.” Tech 49 Jack Harper went into Sky Tower 52 and found out that Victoria was also the hostess of Tower 52, greeting him just like she was in the Tower 49. Victoria blocked Jack Harper, the repairman Tech 49 outside Sky Tower 49 for Jack bring back a woman Julia(Olga KuryLenko) from the radiation zone. Morgan Freeman was also starring in the movie. He acted just like an angel role in Jim Carrey’s movie or a Sion mentor role in Keanu Reeves’ movie, the Matrix.

Jack Reacher was starring by Tom Cruise as a former US Army Military Police Corps officer, reached by Helen Rodin(Rosamund Pike), a beautiful daughter of the DA(District Attorney), who was a defense lawyer reached for a suspect who had denied the accusation of a shooting spree around Ohio, and in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area. The sniper suspect denied the accusation, wrote down words, “Get Jack Reacher,” and was in a coma. Detective Emerson and the DA Rodin denied Jack Reacher to access the evidence of the shooting spree.

The shooting spree was conducted by a sniper with six bullets and randomly killed five victims from a parking lot building across a river. The suspect arrested by detective Emerson was called James Barr, a former US Army sniper who was self-making bullet shells in his house when he was arrested which were matched the bullet shells found on the parking lot the sniper conducting the shooting. Both detective Emerson and Jack Reacher went to the parking lot, where detective Emerson picked up the dropped bullet shells. Jack Reacher later came there on site to get any clue that he could find. The other suspect was Charles, a sniper trained in middle east area with advance moving targets. Jack Reacher and Emerson were returning words in the firearm and cardboard boxes storage room, that if Jack Reacher remembered the serial number of the gun.

Another sniper suspect Charles suffocated a girl named Sandy on the roadside, and that girl called Sandy was working in an auto part mall where Jack Reacher was told by her in a bar. After the bar fight Jack Reacher was getting arrested, bailed out by Helen, and then went to the auto part mall talked to the male clerk who threatening to call the police, saying that he would find a girl called Sandy and then roughly closed the door of a small room where Sandy was doing some paper work to have an inquire style query. That Sandy girl had instigated a five-person fight against Jack Reacher in the bar to cause Jack Reacher under arrest, Jack Reacher as a matter of fact was framed for the murder of that girl called Sandy, after being arrested in the previous bar fight and then getting chased by detective Emerson with the police who found him driving a Mustang near the criminal investigating scene. Then Jack Reacher was driving a red Mustang, high gear intercepting the white Audi car another sniper suspect Charles was driving, followed by the police cars leading by detective Emerson who was taking Jack Reacher as Sandy girl’s murder suspect near the criminal scene. Jack Reacher finally with the help of an old black man who lent him a blue cap to disguise himself on the road side with the crowd when he left the red Mustang slowly drifting along the street and finally blocked to check by the followed detective Emerson with all the police cars. Jack Reacher finally got on the bus with the crowd and returned the blue cap to the old black man to escape. “He is not my friend,” Jack Reacher insisted that to the DA’s daughter Helen Rodin and repeated it for several times in the movie. He meant that he was innocent and therefore deserved for that help from a stranger out of public indignation.

With Cash’s help actually supplied only for a knife to fight the automatic weapon sniper Charles and Zec in a quarry, with the old man Cash covered him on a hill with armor piercing bullets. Old man Cash was not a game keeper. This time, he was a weapon training coach in Ohio where he had a weapon shop selling rifles and knifes. Jack Reacher finally outwitted Charles and the mobs who were with automatic weapons, killed all the mobs and disarmed Charles to go into the finally bare hand fight with Charles the sniper suspect. Jack Reacher starring by Tom Cruise in the film, who had National Flag of the USA as head shot picture background in his profile, beating Charles the sniper suspect overwhelmingly.

The final scene was the DA’s daughter Helen Rodin went to visit James Barr who was waking up in a coma. When Helen Rodin gave James Barr the pictures of the parking lot building, background bridge and river bank, and the shot dead victims, the glittering in James Barr’s eyes showing signs that he was influenced and that he was willing to confess.

From online Wikipedia about the movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, ”The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is a 2012 fantasy adventure film directed by Peter Jackson. It is the film adaptation of the 1937 novel The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien.” I remember that there was a DVD version of ”The Hobbit” in 2003, but it seemed to be a preview movies raw footage, was not in the theater at Taiwan in 2003.

The script are mainly describing the Thorin and the protagonist Bilbo Baggins set out for an adventure to the lonely mountain with a wizard Gandalf the grey. Thorin Oakenshield, was a dwarf with suede leather jacket looks like from the frostwolf clan. From online wikipedia that the Hobbit in the original novel, the protagonist Bilbo Baggins, “a hobbit in comfortable middle age at 50 years old, was hired in spite of himself as a “burglar” by the wizard Gandalf and 13 dwarves led by their king Thorin Oakenshield on a quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain and its treasure from the dragon Smaug.” Therefore, Bilbo Baggins was a burglar while Thorin was a king. But the film with the prologue of the Hobbit novel as the script playing like a RPG(role play game) which the players could alter the story line and endgame during the progress of the story moving on the timeline. And therefore in The Hobbit the wizard Gandalf the Grey later became wizard Gandalf the White in The Lord of the Rings.

In the movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey protagonist Bilbo Baggins was confronted by Gollum in the cave. They played a riddle game that if Bilbo won then Gollum have to show the way out the cave or if Bilbo lost then would be eaten by Gollum. Bilbo won the riddle and through a portal Gollum conjured up to leave the cave. In the prologue of the movie, Azog, an Orc war-chief who beheaded Thrór and lost his forearm to Thorin in battle, this time Thorin charged Azog, but was defeated and knocked to the ground. Bilbo defended Thorin from being decapitated by the Orcs before all the adventure group were saved by Eagles. Finally Gandalf healed the unconscious Thorin, a happy ending.

The Skyfall 007 is on the 50th anniversary of first 007 movie series. The movie features Daniel Craig as James Bond, Javier Bardem as Raoul Silva, Judi Dench as M, Ralph Fiennes as Gareth Mallory, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q, Bérénice Lim Marlohe as Sévérine, Albert Finney as Kincade, Helen McCrory as Clair Dowar, and Ola Rapace as Patrice. The background of Skyfall 007 is started at the Istanbul’s Sultanahmet Square, where James Bond driving an Audi sedan to chase Patrice on the motorcycle. James Bond was fighting Patrice on the roof of a train in India, when the train went into a tunnel they were still fighting, and when the train emerged from the tunnel, the Bond Girl Eve Moneypenny driving a Jeep and waiting there for covering James Bond, Eve received the instruction from M to shoot the fighting targets which were still entangled in the fighting, but Eve got James Bond Daniel Craig on his right shoulder. Mr James Bond Daniel Craig fell into the river from the train on the bridge right out of the tunnel. As Daniel Craig’s body dragging down to the river bottom of graves with gravestones lined up on the river bed, the movie began with Mr James Bond Daniel Craig’s training reminiscence.

China was featured in the scene and take place in Shanghai. The airplane arrived at the Shanghai airport in the evening when the skyscrapers buildings lighted up the city in a modern atmosphere. James Bond Daniel Craig was following up Patrice who was performing an assassination with rifle. Daniel Craig hiding in the elevator Patrice riding by only gripping the elevator bottom, then knocked Patrice out of the skyscraper the assassination taking place without any information asked, for Daniel Craig extended hand with glove slipped. But James Bond Daniel Craig found out who hired the assassin Patrice by a gold coin, sequins which was engraved with Macao, as it was from Macao. Therefore, James Bond Daniel Craig was flying to Macao, meeting with Bond Girl Sévérine in a Chinese Casino. The Phantom and Opera style running water and candle light scene in the Skyfall 007 was shooting in the scene of Macao. The following scene was Daniel Craig and Sévérine being taken by Javier Bardem, starring as Silva, to perform an inquiry in the ruin when they was debarked the yacht. After an inquiry looked like a talk between the Angel and the Demon, Javier asked Daniel Craig in turn to shoot the cup filled with wine put upon the head of Bond Girl Sévérine to rescue her. No sooner the cup upon the head of Sévérine dropped onto ground to fail the mission, Daniel Craig used a device called radio which was previously provided by Q in the art gallery to call three helicopters with union jack painted on to rescue them. Then Javier was therefore jailed in a glass box and queried by M. M decided to delete Javier from the list when Javier answered rudely and kneed in the glass box. But Javier later pushed out his false teeth on his upper jaw and saved his own life.

Later Javier was featured as the policeman interacting with James Bond Daniel Craig in the London subway system, when M testified in front of British minister and answered the government official queries. M said that her late husband loved poems. The story line was presented in montage style. When Daniel Craig chasing Javier Bardem in the underground subway system, with the direction of Q, Daniel Craig ordered the subway train driver open the door for him to chase the false policeman Javier, while at the same time the British minister Clair Dowar asking tough questions upon M. The questions seemed not easy to answer.

M was forced to resign and come with James Bond Daniel Craig, riding his new car to go to the Skyfall in Scotland, which was the Bond family estate. Daniel Craig was hiding in the priest hole for three days when his parents killed in his childhood. Kincade was the gamekeeper, with M and James Bond Daniel Craig made a trio to defend themselves. James Bond Daniel Craig told Kincade that they have to kill the enemy first who would come and kill them. Kincaide gave James Bond Daniel Craig an old rifle gun from Andrew. A troop led by Javier boarding on helicopter came after the first attack with seven or eight gunmen, which the trio defended with booby traps and dynamite. James Bond Daniel Craig let Kincade and M leave first via the priest hole to the church chapel. Daniel Craig finally could not get all the troop from the helicopter done, with two gas buckets as bomb to blow the house and also the helicopter, Daniel Craig also running out of the house via that priest hole. But Javier found Kincade and M by their flashlight. Finally Daniel Craig killed Javier in the church chapel but M died because of serious hurt during the fighting. The final scene was Daniel Craig standing on the British Embassy roof, with the Union Jack Great British national flags flying in the background. Then Eve Moneypenny was carrying a box from M to the roof top and delivering it to Daniel Craig. There was a ceramic bulldog in the Union Jack clothes in M’s box.

The words that most impressed me in the Skyfall 007 movie, “Last rat is standing,” said by Daniel Craig, “poor, pull the trigger,” which Daniel Craig was told, and “Circle of life,” said by Daniel Craig, also it was lyric from Mr Elton John’s famous song.

Taken 2, Movie Review

Before I went to Liam Neeson featured movie Taken 2 in local theater of VieShow Cinemas Banciao MegaCity IMAX, of the Warner Bros. with a pack through 2013 finalized to Hong Kong Golden Harvest invested Vieshow Cinamas and the Canadian IMAX, I had spent some time on Wikipedia page doing the homework to preview the movie script outline and starring characters. The movie Taken 2 is distributed by the 20th Century Fox, and produced by Luc Besson.

In the movie Liam Neeson starring Bryan Mills had dropped by Kim Mills and Kim’s mother Lenore’s house in Los Angeles, Lenore told Bryan that a telephone call notifying to stand her up in the planned family trip, therefore Bryan persuaded Lenore that she could be with him for the trip to Istanbul instead. Lenore could not agree more gratefully. Lenore and Kim were meeting Bryan in the hotel reception lobby after Bryan had shaken hands with Turkey official celebrity and received an envelope looks like passport. Then in the hotel room Bryan was greeting Kim and Lenore welcome to Istanbul. Kim told Bryan that Lenore and she planned to give him a surprise, so they did not tell him they would come. On the street of Istanbul, Bryan and Lenore was in a black BMW sedan and followed by a Mercedes Benz Jeep. This alerted Bryan to order the BMW driver turning into a side alley. Stop short in front of a clothe shop Bryan told Lenore to run to the US embassy for help, then Bryan dropped the BMW driver to begin a car chasing show with Mercedes Benz Jeep. Bryan was caught by the Albania mafia chief Murad, chained to be kneed in jail. Murad asked Bryan if he knew any of the dead men on the pictures showed in his hand, Bryan said to Murad that he did not know anyone showed on the pictures. This angered mafia chief Murad, said that his son was dead and he would get it back. Bryan answered that he came to Istanbul because his daughter was kidnapped here. Then the mafia gangsters brought Lenore into the jail in front of Bryan, Murad cut Lenore’s throat, masked her with black clothe and upside down hanged Lenore with chain to the air. The blood was dripping from the black mask clothe to ground, the mafia chief Murad then asked Bryan how long would it take for her to die. Bryan answered that it would take about half an hour. The mafia chief Murad was satisfied with the answer of Bryan and went out with the other gangsters to seize Kim.

Before Bryan and Lenore both seized by the Albania mafia chief, Bryan had shaken hands with important celebrity of Istanbul and had met with Kim and Lenore in the hotel reception lobby. In the hotel room Bryan took off his bullet proof vest and put his gun together into the weaponry metal suitcase, shelved into the hotel closet. Then Bryan with Kim taking sight-seeing boat on the river of Istanbul, Bryan said that to the east side of waterway was culture of East Asian, to the west side is modern European culture, therefore the conflicts were persisting in between of this place. Bryan told Kim that he read it from a book, and the book was in the hotel room he could give her the book to read. In the beginning of the movie, Bryan went to Lenore’s home and asking where Kim had been, Lenore told Bryan that Kim had a new boyfriend. Bryan looked like disguising his emotion trying to appear in high EQ, that’s what it tells the audience they were both adults and well contained. Or maybe it was just out of the deep affection between father and daughter. The Wikipedia page about the movie Taken 2 mentioned several other starring characters, Casey, Bernie, Sam, etc.

Except for the opening scene was the Albania mafia chief Murad addressing in the funeral, a pantoscopic view of the graveyard in the mountains, all the movie were shooting around the Istanbul urban background with a mosque and two Turkey national flags. The Black Mercedes Benz Jeep was chasing black BMW and thereafter a yellow Mercedes Benz stolen taxi, approaching the ending was the stolen yellow taxi crashes break into the American embassy across the USA troops guarded barrier. The flying stripes and star-spangles USA national flags on the rooftop of the embassy, with the political celebrities playing golf in the field immediately answered in responsibility, convulsed the audience’s heart. Kim asked Bryan if her mother Lenore died, Bryan answered that what the mafia wanted was he himself, therefore Lenore would be alive. After sent Kim into the US embassy, Bryan went back to mafia chief’s jail for rescue of Lenore. There was a bare hand fighting with the gangster, then Bryan told the mafia chief Murad if he gives up revenge for his dead son, Bryan could drop the gun in hand to bury the hatchet. Bryan could do it because he said he was tired. The mafia chief Murad agreed. Bryan circled his handgun playing in hand then dropped it onto the ground, but the mafia chief Murad betrayed his words to pick up the gun trying to shoot Bryan from behind. A click sound heard without bullet in the gun barrel. Bryan turned back, showed the bullet in hand dropping to ground, bare hand to knock the mafia chief Murad onto the towel hook to end the play. The story line went to this point as this, what could we say? “That’s right, it deserves that rotten tomato awarded score.”

After the mission in Istanbul, Bryan and Kim returned to the USA. Bryan accompanied Kim to the driving test examination. When Kim passed the driving license examination, Bryan asked what would she want for celebrating, and the father and daughter shared pleasure of Kim’s achievement. The final scene was Bryan, Kim together with Lenore in family vacation on river side of newly built yacht dock, in the observatory restaurant on the far end of the dock for leisure tourists to dine. At the right moment Kim’s boyfriend Jamie coming into the movie scene, along with Lenore’s humor words, “Haven't I told that you should not fire her company?” That’s the tacit agreement showed between the reunited couples and in each other.

Why the last scene would arrange a test for driving license? If there was no caption it would not be that easy for us to make out the sign on the wall, although the movie camera quickly moving back and forth twice on the sign, which should read something like this, “For Test Driver Use Only”. Maybe we could read between the lines. But if you had taken a driver license test before in the California area, you possibly could find out that the facility was for driver license test without necessarily reading what the words are on the sign. That could be the difference between left brain thinking model people and right brain thinking model people. Left brain thinking people only focus on what was important, focus on for one thing or two only. Performing decisions, the left brain people require only simple operation such as choosing between true and false, yes and no, positive and negative, accelerate and brake. By left brain model they ignored the remaining irrelevant details, only focus and patience, waiting for the next decision making point to prompt up. That scene of Kim’s driving license test arranged in Liam Neeson featured movie Taken 2, which especially emphasized the stunt effects and bare hand fightings, supposed to infer “a license”.  

In the movie Bryan was driving a black BMW, and in the BMW he was with Lenore chased by a Mercedes Benz Jeep. The driver was ordered to stop in front of the clothe shop, drop Lenore to run for the US embassy. Then it was in the jail of the Albania mafia chief Murad, when Lenore was cut on the throat and bleeding for dying, Bryan used the communicating device hidden in sock to telephone Kim in the hotel and instructed her to locate Bryan with drawing two five kilometer circles on the map with two points intercepted around the hotel and the mafia chief’s jail. Then Bryan instructed Kim when she was hiding in the closet shelved the weaponry metal suitcase, hiding from the mafia shooters, to carry two grenades and a handgun with her before left the hotel. Bryan instructed Kim to throw the two grenades on different spots for Bryan to locate the mafia jail with direction and distance from the hotel. Kim finally found out the chimney with white steaming released by Bryan, but the gangster from the mafia chief Murad have chased to catch up with Kim at a short range. However, Bryan required Kim to drop the gun into the chimney for him immediately. To be frankly, these two chasing plays and scenes in the movie Taken 2, look quite like that appeared in the 2003 Warner Bros. and Atari made Home Video game, Enter the Matrix, two different players appeared in apart places to have the chasing games separately.

After the movie, I have my lunch at the McDonald’s on the ninth floor of the Mega City Department Store. From the window of the ninth floor was the panoramic view of the New Taipei City Goverment Building Square and the New Taipei City Railroad Station. Across the New Taipei City Government Square was the elevated Bank of Panhsin Building, newly built. Besides that was the Stanford Building, beautiful white decoration on the roof top with the Standard Chartered Bank resided in. Behind that, was the building of National Tax Administration Banqiao Branch 2. These newly built buildings encircled all the New Taipei City Station Square on the center. A two-story porch extended from the New Taipei City Government Building, with tile and brick canopy concrete made and steel porch railings, from above it looks just like the docks in California or docks in the New York East River and just seeing in the movie. There happened to be observatory restaurants on each side of the docks included this McDonald’s on the ninth floor of Mega City Department Store. On the corner of the ninth floor next to the McDonald’s, was a restaurant called the Pumpkin Tomato, there hanged a white plastic skeleton on the wall as decoration. Very special decoration with deliberate design, the same style coincided with the statuary on same floor of Phantom of the Opera Boat Scene, with running water and bridge backdrop settings around the statuary. After lunch at the McDonald’s, I should hurry out of this and set out for the Taiwan Banciao District Court to counsel for October 18 of a district court writ, with the District Court sealed and the judge “Executive Writ” for “Ching Prosecute Savant 101 Yi(Court letter number)”, a Far Eastern Memorial Hospital mental evaluation decided by the district court judge. Forget all about this, in the observatory platform it’s really like World of Warcraft online game quest, report to Goldshire, it really can teach you to rest and relaxation.

This time, DB for once did not smile, determined to say good-bye to this world(World of Warcraft game. Because the prosecuting court plaintiff accused on April 2 in court that “The defendant was indulging himself in his own world.” That accusation should be taken as serious and apparently had accepted by the Taiwan Banciao District Court prosecutor and judge. Therefore, DB for once did not smile for this decision.)
